Alan Inglis

Everyone at the Scottish Child Law Centre is deeply saddened by the passing of Alan Inglis. A board member at the Centre since 2018, he strongly supported the Centre’s aims of ensuring better access to legal advice and justice for children, young people, and families in Scotland.

His skills and experience were invaluable to the Centre – his background in social work and child protection, as well as his unique position as the only family barrister and advocate qualified to practice in Scotland, England and Wales. His depth and breadth of knowledge of child law was invaluable to the Centre, as was his empathetic and ethical approach to all matters.

He will be sorely missed by all those at the Centre and our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.
