Scottish Child Law Centre


Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week)

Salary: £28,500 per annum

Duration:  Permanent, subject to availability of funding

Location: Edinburgh (Home based/hybrid or office based)

The Scottish Child Law Centre is an independent charity working to promote the understanding of children’s rights and the law as it affects children and young people in Scotland.  We are looking for a fully qualified, dedicated, and enthusiastic Child or Family Law Solicitor.

Your role is to promote and further the rights of children and young people in Scotland by responding to enquiries, providing legal advice by telephone and by email and delivering training to professionals from a child centred perspective.

Our aim is to provide people with comprehensive legal advice delivered by qualified solicitors in a way which can be easily understood. You will be sensitive to the nature of the queries we receive, treat everyone as individuals and be friendly, approachable, and professional with excellent knowledge of Child Law in Scotland. Particular knowledge and experience in matters of education law and additional support for learning would be an advantage.
